Developmental and Competitive Division Differences:

    • Developmental: In developmental divisions, the focus is on the training and enhancement of player skills first and foremost. Scores and rankings are not maintained in the Teeball division, but is in the Pee Wee Division. The emphasis is on player and skill development.
    • Competitive: In competitive divisions, scores and rankings are maintained. While player development is certainly still emphasized in these divisions, teams compete to be the best team in the division and the overall division championship. The level of officiating is also increased in the competitive divisions.

Teeball Division

Rules of the game are outlined in our local rules. The primary goals of TeeBall are to instruct children in the fundamentals of baseball and to allow them to experience the value of teamwork. Rosters may be composed of between 10 to 12 players, but most teams have rosters in the 10-11 range. No live pitching is permitted in this division. The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond.

A player must attend a skills evaluation for Pee Wee and then be selected through our normal draft process.
